Sample Collection

Understand the collection path before the lab step begins.

This page explains the basic sample collection flow so you know what happens after an HTMA request is confirmed.

Important framing

Sample collection follows the request process. It is not the first step. The goal is to confirm fit, profile direction, and restrictions before anyone is told to collect anything.

Trace Elements, Inc. performs the laboratory analysis after the approved collection process is completed.

Collection Flow

The collection path in four steps

This is the practical sequence for Phase A: request first, confirm fit, receive guidance, then complete the lab collection path correctly.

01

Request first

Start by submitting your HTMA request so the right profile and any location restrictions can be reviewed before sample collection begins.

02

Receive collection guidance

Once your request is confirmed, you will receive the appropriate next-step guidance for sample collection and handling.

03

Collect a clean scalp-hair sample

Human HTMA uses scalp hair. Clean collection technique matters because contamination, poor placement, or incorrect amounts can compromise the process.

04

Send the sample through the approved process

The laboratory step is completed through the appropriate lab process after intake and collection guidance are confirmed.

What To Expect

What this page can confirm

This page gives you the public-facing preview, not the final instructions that come after request review.

Human HTMA uses scalp hair.
Collection guidance should be followed carefully to reduce handling errors.
Final collection instructions are provided after the request path is confirmed.

Avoid preventable errors

Do not start by collecting a sample before checking eligibility and request fit.

Do not assume every location can proceed without review.

Do not treat this page as a substitute for the final collection guidance provided for your request.

Next Step

If the collection path makes sense, go back to the request form.

The request form is still the control point. Use it to confirm your fit, ask questions, and receive the right next-step guidance before collection begins.
